Pedals are sturdy and heavy. Those two go together so as long as you are happy with a little extra weight these are nice pedals. I use this bike for long rides on the weekends with cleats but also commuting with street shoes. Great to have the option.

    Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

These are definitely worth every penny! Really durable and strong, along with dual compatibility with clipless shoes makes it a perfect buy. Picked it up on sale, if you get the chance I'd recommend doing the same if you have a need for either side of the pedal.

      Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

I have used these pedals for years. I used them for about 10,000 miles on a bike I recently sold. I have them installed on both my mountain bike and road hybrid now. I like the dual-platform - cleats on one side and regular cage on the other - I clip in for regular rides but can hop on with regular shoes for a quick trip down the street or to the store. They are not the lightest pedals that you can find if you are counting grams but these are a great multi-purpose pedal for a fitness, commuting, and general riding. Great price and very durable.

        Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

Put these on my beater bike which I use mostly for errands and shopping. Now I don't need to think about what is on my feet.

If I feel like more of a workout, I can use cleats. Otherwise, sneakers or shoes are fine.

          Comments about Shimano PD-M324 Pedals:

I have these pedals on 3 out of 5 of my bikes that are considered touting or commuting bikes or just riding around the neighborhood.

I love the option of being able to not clip in for a casual ride or in situations where I know I might need to dismount quickly without worring about cliping out.

This is a very durable pedal that allows you to clip in or be able to go with sneakers. My son also rides the Trek Dual Sport we have these on and he can go without clips anytime he desires.

I love the option of clipping in or being able to just wear normal shoes with these. Since I am just a beginner to this style of pedal I just loved them. even after forgetting I was clipped in and fell over at a red light. Now I only clip in when on a trail or bike path. Sometimes I have a hard time clipping in but I feel that is just user error. For the price you get a really great pair of quality pedals. I would definately buy another pair.
