Shimano WH-MT65 26" Wheelset

Looking for an affordable, attractive wheel that can withstand rocks, roots, ruts, and creeks? Not only will the Shimano WH-MT65 Wheels turn heads out on the trail but they will keep you rolling forever, by combining durability, lightweight and consistency. Straight pull spokes and 2-cross lacing increase torsional rigidness and overall spoke life. The MT65 Wheels feature the signature Shimano center locking rotor mounting system, which is versatile, fast rolling, lightweight, and quick and easy to mount. The MT65’s are not limited to center locking, so if you happen to prefer six bolt, adapters can be purchased. Whether you are a racer, weekend warrior, or casual trail cruiser, the MT65 are a bargain!

Great wheelset for tubeless tires. Lightweight with great hubs. The only irritating thing was having to buy adapters for six bolt discs. Killer deal though.

          Comments about Shimano WH-MT65 Wheelset:

Paired them with Kendra SB8 (rear) and Slant6 UST tires. Fitment is great but Shimano owners manual states use of sealant will damage the anodizing and is not recommended. Kinda defeats the purpose, would be 5 star otherwise.
Lightweight. Strong - took a bad log hit and thumped it pretty good, still spins true.

              Comments about Shimano WH-MT65 Wheelset:

These wheels exceeded my expectations and gave me a stronger opinion of Shimano. They are pretty enough to hang on the wall, and they have taken a pretty serious beating. The graphics are painted on and not cheap stickers that peel off when wet, the bearings spin for days, and the overall weigh is pretty light. I'm a 220lb rider and they have stayed true even after a few nasty landings. My opinion is "why pay more for the XTs"? The only downside is that Shimano doesn't make or provide adapters for different axle needs. I've used one that I found online though and it works great when I switch these over to my other bike.
