As a tall and husky cyclist, at 220lbs, riding a modern full suspension bike, my seatpost protrudes approximately one kilometer from my bike. I've had a lot of problems with seatpost slippage.
I've already burned through two seatpost collars tightening them down as hard as I can, so I've moved on to looking for larger collars to use. The Surly collar is burlier than a lumberjack's burly beard.
My only regret is that I am tragically stupid and unable to order the right size for my bike, so I had to return it. I need a 35mm and I don't think they make one that big.
I bet it does the job like a mother, though. It's solid and has a huge screw, just like any prison shower.
