Comments about Shimano F01A Resin Disc Pad:

These replaced the stock metal pads that came with the XT disk break set. These seem to be a bit smoother and a whole lot quieter. And I don't feel any real difference in stopping power. I'll be staying with the resin pads from now on.

Comments about Shimano F01A Resin Disc Pad:

I purchased the ones with no fins before these. They worked fine for most rides however during an Enduoro race I would lose my rear brake due to fading. Once I switched to these the issue went away.

Comments about Shimano F01A Resin Disc Pad:

I put these in my rear caliper because I was having contamination and squealing problems with the FOC3's. These are quiet and seem to have equal if not better performance. I wonder how durable they will be; but it's not a huge issue because their performance is so good.

                Why aren't these pads standard.

Comments about Shimano F01A Resin Disc Pad:

Previously you could hear me a mile away when using my brakes. These pads fixed my brakes so they are quiet again. I wonder why Shimano just doesn't ship these standard instead of their other garbage pads.

I am a Shimano fan. My current bike is a Yeti SB-66 that has a complete XT groupo. These are replacement pads. I have been very happy with their performance. I prefer resign pads over metallic as they are not as noisy.
