Very good chain. Realiable, I use it for XC on rural roads and in a couple of very hard races. A cost-effective chain !!!

I've bought shimano chains for all my bikes and they have all lasted very long. I clean and lube my drivetrain after every ride. I ride mostly trail and do alot of sustained climbing in dry dustry conditions. Never broke a chain. Only reason I'm giving it 4 star instead of 5 is I don't like shimano's pin, I use the SRAM powerlink on all my shimano chains and it shifts with no problem.
Don't buy it unless you do straight downhill rides, cannot sustain a full load going uphill! I spent more money on chain links and pins than what I paid for this chain...
After having shifting problems with two other manufacturer's chains, going to this one is like having an automatic. Shimano got this one right. I don't know about durability yet, but I have seen these go a long way for other riders. I'm also using a Sram cassette, so whatever compatibility problems there may have been aren't happening for me.
Great chain at a great price would recommend it to anyone with shimano parts group. Great for any type of riding.
If it doesn't break the first 100 rides buy another one and keep using the same brand. It lasts through the toughest shifting situations on the trail and after oxygen deprivation, not all shifting is wear it is supposed to be, so very forgiving. I'll get more.
