Okay I guess...
To be clear...I am not a fan of BB 92 to begin with so my review may reflect that...

Firstly, apparently I purchased the wrong size bottom bracket. I guess there are multiple BB92 widths? The listing said this was a XTR/Dura Ace Bottom Bracket...but when it showed up it only said Dura Ace...and wouldn't you know the center spacer wasn't wide enough. I bought this to use with a 68/72 Shimano Saint Crankset...guess there is a BB92 specific for that? Who knows...this BB standard is terrible.

I installed this BB sans plastic spacer since it was too narrow anyway. I was in a pinch and had a race the following weekend so I just figured it would get me through and I would just replace after the race (since it was the wrong one anyway). This BB pressed into the frame incredibly easily. I used a set of bench clamps (the ones that have the caulking gun handle to clamp stuff to a work bench). That in and of it self was a concern to me. I figured there was NO WAY the BB wouldn't creak. I practically could have used my palm to install these cups.

Cranks installed fine. Chainline was good. Then I rode my bike up the street. BB creaked right out of the gate. UGH! Again...can't fault the BB...I do fault the stupid BB92 standard. The creaking stopped about 5 miles into my race...but then came back again after I washed my bike. Then it stopped again. Annoying.

I ordered a Wheels MFG BB to replace this one. Hopefully it's the correct size and doesn't creek. Look for my review on the Wheels MFG BB after I get it installed.

PROS: Lightweight, Low Resistance

CONS: Creaked out of the gate but then stopped, Presses WAY to easily, Plastic cups?

Are the bearings included? I will be installing this in a BMC Trailfox TF01 with Deore XT cranks. Looks like it is a 24 mm O.D.
jeff g on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's a sealed unit, so everything is included inside. You just need to add the appropriate spacers to get the proper fit into your frame.
Hi, I have to replacement my pressfit Shimano B.B. MT500 , could I replacement it with Bb92? Thank you . My bike is scott scale 960
Jhojan C on Jun 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Your MT500 is a press fit 92mm. - Deore quality- the BB92 will fit perfectly/ it is a Dura Ace quality - a better set of bearings.
Does these work with a road frame with BB86 standard?
A shopper on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used it on my ibis cx bike which has a BB86 so Im sure it will work on a road bike with a BB86..
Will this adapt a Shimano Ultra 6700 crankset to a press fit frame?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes as long as the spindle is regular Shimano 24 millimeter and the width is the standard 68/73 should work fine but why would you want to put a shimano Ultegra 6700 road crankset on a mountain bike?
