Gotta love the 717's, they are very strong rims, laced to what I believe is a good quality hub. The build is good and you cant go wrong with standard pproducts, i.e., 32 hole, cup and cone. Sure they don't look amazing but they are and I like their look. Veery strong thet inspire confidence against any kind of xc/trail riding. Centerlock is a pain if you dont have the rotors but that can be fixed without much investment.

These wheels will get your 15 mm through-axle fork rolling. You can't go wrong with XT hubs and Mavic rims, and the build quality is reasonable. But--they didn't include the special disc rotor lock ring for the 15 mm hub. These are hard to find, and they are expensive!

I rode these wheels approximately six months before the free hub locked up and died. I'm a decent home mechanic and perform regular maintenance. I've never had to replace a free hub this quickly and have typically had good luck with Shimano components. Hopefully this was a fluke. I will replace the part and see how it goes. Other than that, the wheels have remained true and the bearings roll smoothly.
