This is a design that works perfect and will be used for years to come. Having the exo-cage really helps pedal with more stability when you can't get clipped in right away. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the exo-cage did not make contact with my shoe when clipped in. I was under the impression that the cage would allow more of a foot pad to disburse your weight from the one area that previous Shimano pedals only had. This is not the case. But, if you need to upgrade or replace pedals(like I did), for the price and quality of this product, you can't go wrong.

I love XT components! My new Yeti SB-66 has a complete XT grouppo. These new XT trail pedals are awesome. They have a larger surface area and the entry and exit is effortless. An excellent addition to my new bike.
