I changed from a 12-25 to this 11-28 to improve my hill climbing ability and down hill speed. Best change I have made to my bike. Have a compact crank and it works great!

Best finish/price/durability/weight ratio in Shimano range, due to Dura Ace ones are to expensive to save some grams, and the nickel chrome of the 105 when worn out tend to oxidize easily, besides all Shimano shift the same

A durable, lightweight option from Shimano. The Ultegra cassette can handle the slop of cyclocross and the long miles on the road. The 11-28 option is very practical.
The only caveat? The cogs are sandblasted to a matte finish. Unlike with SRAM options that are slick steel, grease and grime works itself into the finish making it very difficult to get the cassette to appear clean, even when it is. This is just a minor aesthetic complaint, though.

Can't go wrong with Shimano. For the price it doesn't make sense to go with Dura Ace unless you have the extra cash to spend. The only difference is a few grams, no big deal.

Replaced an Dura Ace 11-25 with this Ultegra 11-28. Performance is just as good. What a big difference when climbing steep roads! Ordered it Monday, received it Wednesday, and went a personal best on a hill climb on Thursday. Plus, the price is great!

Been using it for a while, and recently I failed to replace the chain in time, but it didn't wear out the cassette (yet). Great!
Got another one for the second wheel set. I love the massive range as I live in on a mountain but also keep pedaling downhill!
My neighbor is using it too btw. Note you need the appropriate derailleur.

Avid cyclist and recenlty built up a new bike with Dura Ace 7900 components. Was looking for a new cassette for new wheels with a 11-28 combination. Ultegra has come a long way and at a very affordable price, especially when not worried about a few extra grams, plus it is probably the DA from a few years ago. Easy to install and works great for shifting with the DA series. No problems and sturdy.
