Comments about Shimano Ultegra 6700 STI Levers:
Ultegra 6700 has always been Shimano's best road group in terms of bang for the buck The 6700 series continues that tradition. I had these stock on my Rocky Mountain Solo 90 bike and they are fantastic. Shape wise, I am used to the previous generation 5600 shifters, which actually offer fantastically sharp operation. I like the 6700 STIs for their under the tape cable routing and the chunkier levers. However, the shifting action is not as tactile as the 5600 levers and the shifts take more effort due to the internal routing..
The only thing that you should look out for with these levers is the cable routing. As with any internally-routed cable scheme, there are drawbacks in terms of response and feel if the cables aren't routed "just so". The levers do offer two different routing options for the brake cable (one in front bottom of the bar and the other routing behind the bar, however the shift cables have only one possible route. This makes cable selection a rather important choice, as higher quality, properly set-up cables will make these levers truly shine.
These make for a great upgrade over any lower Shimano levers. You'll save significan amounts of weight, and value-wise they're great bang for the buck.

Comments about Shimano Ultegra 6700 STI Levers:
I have a set of these on my Pinarello Prince and I've ridden them for about a year. I've never had a problem with them. Very smooth shifting and braking, as well as very responsive paddles.
