    Great deal on these 3x10's. I combined them with an 11-36 cassette and all the surrounding goodies for my 17 year old son! Hopefully he will enjoy the brutality of long climbs like his Dad!

        OK, I haven't installed or used this crank yet but I am giddy about getting something so capable for so little. One thing I know, Shimano Deore means you aren't getting junk. This crank looks beautiful and any outboard bearing crank will blow away any ISIS/Octalink internal BB system. You will notice the difference if you have an internal BB presently and want to upgrade. That now an outboard BB crank is less than internal I thought would not happen but it has.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        I have these cranks on my full suspension and hard tail. Steel rings should last longer. Why buy aluminum rings and pay out the ... to replace them in no time? This newer style bb seems to wear quick but they seem lighter than old tapered shaft style and also less expensive. I love these cranks.
