Comments about Shimano 9 Speed HG Freehub Body:

If you are looking to replace a 525A freehub this is not the one. The 525 and 525A are two different freehubs and are not compatible or inner exchangeable with each other.

Comments about Shimano 9 Speed HG Freehub Body:

My Deore freehub started making noise, and inspection revealed that the freehub bearing was failing. I wanted to upgrade to a freehub with a tighter engagement (less rotational movement between engagement 'clicks'), but I found no way to cross-reference part numbers for compatibility and the bike techs with whom I spoke advised me to use an exact replacement to insure proper fitment. I'm considering a new wheelset just to get a better hub and freehub.
