Owning an xtr, and an xt, the hg 30 shifts just as well, is extremely durable, and even looks good. The matte black finish looks stealthy. Get this cassette! You wont regret it.

Came factory installed on my Trek Marlin. Grenaded a gear after ~200 miles. 8 broken teeth on one cog. Mechanics at LBS had never seen anything like it. Replaced under warranty with no hassles though, so just a minor setback.

Basic cassette that gets the job done. My last cassette and chain (basic SRAM PC 850) lasted about a year of weekly bike rides on trails and around campus(~500mi total) without ever lubing it. I intend to take better care of this one, which should at least double the life of the cassette/chain.
I could change gears just fine throughout the life of the cassette and they come in a powered black, which is a plus in my opinion.
With what I get out of these cassettes, I have no reason to try out one that costs 4 times as much.
