I bought an inexpansive 29er to knock around with. I wanted something cheap but worth doing a little upgrading to. I found a Rocky Mountain and it is a 24-speed. The stock 8-speed rear cassette was heavier than sin and so I bought this cassette. It is lighter, I believe the shifting is a tad better, all for not a ton of cash. Nice huh?

The cogs work very well at first. after continous riding the teeth start to wear, but i suppose that is normal. Great buy for the price.

I needed to upgrade from an old 7 speed Freewheel Hyperglide and found that the SRAM 850 8 speed cassette not only in my price range, but it has lived up to its reputation. Since FD and RD were replaced new, this was a given to update.

This is a great cassette for the price, but expect quality to equal the cost. The spacers between each cog on the cassette are plastic and riveted together.
