These are great shifters and great quality from SRAM. It takes practice to learn not to shift while climbing - but, once you learn that - these are fantastic and very light. For the weight conscience - you'll love these.

I got tired of mis shifts in rough terrain causing a crash. The X0 twisters are so much better. It's still possible to mis shift but it's much easier to recover. You can also dump as many gears as you want as opposed to multiple trigger shifts. Very clean and less confusing then triggers. Very reliable and durable. Just love them. Thought I'd have to stay with 9 speed forever due to the shifters but with the new X0 10 speed shifters I can now consider an upgrade.

This is one of the best kept secrets in mountain biking shifting. These shifters are fast and crisp. Much better than any of my XTR, XO trigger shifters. Took me about 4 rides to get used to them but now I won't go back. Shifts multiple gears up or down - more so than trigger shifters. Much lighter than any trigger shifter currently on the market. Best feature is that the front shifter can be trimmed (positioned)while riding so the derailleur will never rub on the chain. I did find the grip selection limited but then again I cut down a full length set of grips and they worked great.

Switched to these for year round commuting... I had X.0 shifters but below -15C they miss-shift where as these work flawlessly to -30C (and probably lower). The only negative is that sometimes on rough terrain, if I am not careful of hand placement, large bumps can cause me to accidentally shift.

I have this shifters for about 1 year and i have no complains. Cross country use and zero problems. Zero maintenance in this year, crisp shifting all time. It's very lightweight and inexpensive, the best deal out there.

Great product!!! The SRAM X.0 shifters work better than I had hoped and were very easy to adjust to even after using trigger shifters for 21+ years. I will never go back to trigger shifters after using these!!!

I can't tell you what a difference this upgrade has made. I used to race BMX and play on ramps when I was younger, so I have a good sense of the feel of a bike. I simply love these shifters. They seem more natural than the thumb slicing Shimano's that I had on the bike. I have noticed that more complete bikes are being equipped with SRAM and I believe that they will take more of the market share in the future, as their products are awesome. I am thrilled with the performance that I have experienced so far and I intend to start racing soon with the increased confidence that I have gained from knowing that I can now get through the hard ascents without bailing and virtually no preperation - just dump a bunch of gears in one twist. It seems like such a fundamental concept that other manufacturers would recognize the benefit and make twist shifters. But I'm glad the "other guys" aren't because they are making SRAM more powerful in their denial. I will never buy Shimano again.

These shifters have there pros and cons. But the pros out weigh the cons making it an easy decision. But the reality is it makes me not have to look as far ahead for changes in the trail, so if something sneaks up on me I dont have to get off and run up the hill because I couldnt shift down fast enough.
