Used Slim before & never again will I use anything else but Stan's NoTube Sealant. It only took me 15 minutes to convert a non-tubeless DT rims and Kenda Nevegal UST tires to tubeless. The tire sealed easily using an air compressor but floor pumps seem to work sometimes. I didn't have to use soapy water on the beads for the initial seal as well.
Stan's No Tube sealant is less weight and is better at sealing than the thicker slimes, however, you won't feel it slopping around while riding. The sealant do dry up over 6 months, especially in hot weather, butusing the injection kit makes it easy to add an ounce or 2 when needed. The biggest deal here though is that you can kiss goodbye to snakebite flats and thorn punctures, it will seal before you even know about them, even on larger slash flats.
It is messy when you need to use an emergency tube while on the trail when you do get a larger slash and cuts beyond sealing.
Summed up: One thing I love about tubeless is the hollow sound of your tires as you pump your pedals up the hill.

everything is good.... to seal tires, to ride bike and to put air to the tires... simple!!!

I have been using Stan's for four years now and have had only two flats in that time. Both occurred when I ripped the sidewall open on my rear tire. Other than that Stan's has kept my tires inflated under every other situation. It's the originator and is still the best product of it's type on the market.
I use it for XC riding and racing.
I have used it in non-UST and UST tires. In the non-UST, the latex balls up quicker (26" Continental Race King Protection 2.2), but the weight savings is worth it for racing.
I have pulled out maybe 3 large mesquite thorns and a small twig (must have hit the tire just right). I never lost pressure during the rides, and it sealed right up after removing the thorn. Once it took a while because the Stan's was a little old and the latex had mostly balled up, but it stayed sealed during the ride.
The only times it has failed was 1) when a flint rock sliced the sidewall and 2) when a long, straigtened, steel heavy-duty staple (like those used to staple a cardboard bicycle box together) punctured my UST tire all they way from the center of the tread to the sidewall near the rim while riding on the road and tore the sidewall pretty good from continuing to twist around when it came back around to make contact with the road. Though, there is a success story on Stan's NoTubes Facebook from January 31, 2012 where a nail punched through the tread and the sidewall but the tire did not lose pressure during the ride.

After trying it initially in tubeless MTB tires and being very impressed, I decided to use it in everything. I haven't had a single flat in more than four seasons on either the MTB (tubed and tubeless), 'cross bike (tubed) or road bikes (tubular and tubed). Stan's sealant just plain works! Remember, you have to renew it every few months.

No more flats, Was riding the repack trail today with 20 psi and when i got to the bottom my front tire was flat, aired up with co2 and started riding. Saw some white fluid shoot out of the hole and sealed up with in 10 secs. This stuff works!
Shake well before using and replace every 2 to 3 months (it drys up). As an additional backup, carry a Genuine Innovations Tubeless Tire Repair Kit, especially for bigger holes and sidewall holes. Use *cotton* string instead of the provided glue-strips. After inserting string, pressurize and turn downward so stans gets forced out around string. The stans will coagulate around the string.
I have been using Stan's for some time now, and it is the best system for converting wheels to tubeless. I am a heavier rider, but still ride at about 30lbs front, 32lbs rear, with excellent traction. This system will improve your bike's handling quite a bit.
Amazing product. I live (and ride) in the Sonoran desert so I used to flat twice a week or more. I just bought a new bike and it shipped with Stans preinstalled. In six months I've not had a flat until I blew out the sidewall on a rocky decent. And in that time I only had to "touch up" the air pressure 5 or 6 times. Now I use Stans anytime I put a new tire on and then I just forget all about flats. I will caution however, first timers should visit notubes.com and read the instructions there. It's not difficult but it isn't intuitive either. Make sure you seat your tubeless tire first then install the Stans.
Make sure you read the installation tips and tire selections on the www.notubes.com website, and installation may be easier than you think.Don't plan on grabbing a folding tire from the box, slapping in on and going for a ride without problems 20 minutes lates. The tire bead and several tiny and normal holes will need to "plug" with the sealant and dry up before you'll get maximum performance, and with some tires, you may need to add extra (I use double the normal) sealant for the first installation. Make sure tires are warm and have been in an unfolded shape for a day or two to reduce deformity from packaging.I have had three "flats" that sealed up before I could even stop my bike. When used properly, and I do mean properly, it really works.During a catastrophic tire puncture (my wife had one), all you'll need to do is pull out the rim strip, slap in a tube, and you're off and running again. Easy is good.
