Similar to a game of Limbo, Easton Cycling asked themselves, how low can you go. The answer was 110 grams low. Easton did not just set out to create the lightest stem in the world; they decided to make the lightest stem that could withstand years of rigorous abuse on racecourses. The EC90 SL is strong enough to be used during Cyclocross and Cross Country racing. Easton worked hard to get the weight down to about 100 grams (slightly above) by utilizing their exclusive TaperWall™ technology and titanium hardware. To ensure the durability of the stem, Easton used their proprietary Distributed Stress Technology and Top lock faceplate to maximize the handlebar/ stem interface.
