DECENT PEDALS, STILL A VALUE
I bought these a couple months ago because i realized my pedays were garbage for downhill/AM, quality is decent, pins grip very well, i took mine apart and loctited the removeable pins just in case, i have already ripped one of the stationary pins out and removed a fair amount of paint. overall they spin nice but not tooo freely, so they feel controlled, i wouldnt reccomend them for someone trying save effeciency, but for the bumpy stuff these work great, even with half worn out skate shoes.

PROS: Grippy, Good lookin, Stable

CONS: PINS RIP OUT

BEST USES: MTN, BMX

Great Product!
I wear hiking-type shoes with agressive lugs on the bottom. So, they really grip/lock-in with these Pedals. No slip or roll-over even in muddy/wet conditions. I went from SPD to these and really enjoy the freedom to "dab" when needed. But these pedals grip my feet so well, that I almost feel like I'm clipped in. The next best thing to being clipped in, but safer.

PROS: Easy To Install, Durable, Attractive Design

CONS: NONE

I purchased these...
I purchased these back in 2000 when I started to dabble in trials riding and started to get into DH and FR and I still use them today. For the rider on a budget or if you just want to have a decent - above average - spare set of pedals consider these. In the 7+ years I've had them none of the studs have worked themselves loose. The stud lengths are good, you just need to use a good rubbery (flat) skate shoe or running shoe to get the ultimate traction with this pedal; I currently wear Van's "old school" skate and BMX shoes which have a really flat bottom. My old Adidas running shoes also grip and really well and I wear them when I'm riding street.Until these pedals finally break down I have no plans to replace them unless I get a killer deal on some of the higher priced ones. And even then I will still hang onto my Zu-Zu's.

Best platform peddle for the buck...
I've been using these for about 8+ years now on my GT Avalanche. I'm only a casual weekend mountain biker, so I don't claim to have as many miles on them as the hardcore riders....But.... When it comes to durability, I haven't found anything better. Aside from hitting rocks and such, I have left my bike in some pretty harsh weather over the years (not by choice)... rain, snow, and freezing temps. These will destroy bearings faster than anything, even sealed ones. But to this day, they still spin as smooth as the day I got them. Sadly, I'll be swapping them out for clip peddles due to constant nagging from friends... (Well, I could just keep the peddles and get new friends...)

PROS: durability

CONS: none

BEST USES: Trail, XC

Best Pedals Ever
These Sun Ringle Zuzus are the best pedals I've ever used. Very grippy. I use them for both cross country riding and downhilling and they are perfect for both. My feet always feel secure and my feet NEVER slip off. I don't feel stuck either. These pedals are the best of all worlds.

BEWARE: The pins are extremely sharp and can easily cut your legs if you aren't careful. I HIGHLY recommend these pedals.

PROS: feel, Looks good, Very sharp, Grip

BEST USES: Downhill, XC

Nice pedal for the price
Tons of grip! Nice big surface for your foot too. Used at Mammoth mtn bike park with only good response. Wear shin protection because these will destroy your shins on contact. Good value, I would put them on my next ride. The pins are solid and hard to remove. They came with a few extras as well.

PROS: Easy To Install, Attractive Design, Durable, Big Foot Surface, Look Good, Tons Of Grip

Great peadal
I really love the grip and control this pedal has given me. It has been a great upgrade from the cage pedals that came with my bike. The have allowed my foot to stay on the pedal through all the different terrains I ride.

they grip quite...
they grip quite well, my brother's Azonic Mountain X pedals are better, though. in wet weather they are surprisingly good. the pins are nice and sharp and really grip the tread of most shoes. i haven't broken any pins yet. and these things have definitely taken a beating. but the spindle on one is slightly bent. can't feel it much when riding but when taking the pedals off i can tell. also, i have overhauled them twice. they are packed with grease, but for some reason they make a horrible noise when spun fast. maybe they're due for another overhaul. there is only one cartridge bearing, it's out at the outer end and it rides on a bushing on the end closest to the crank arm. overall these pedals are pretty decent. i think i will strip the paint then get new bearings for these pedals and make em like new. almost. they have served me well over the past year.
