The T.H.E G4 is a good grip, but definitely not worth the money. Its way too thin for a ride over thirty minutes, so wear a glove with lots of padding. The white glove holds dirt VERY easy and is not easy to keep clean. The black version fades its color too quickly, as well. You have to tighten the end caps on to almost a crushing point to keep them from falling off. They are very nice grips, but maybe need some more time on the drawing table. They DEF need more padding. Besides that they do look nice and I do get lots of compliments on them. But obviously those things dont provide physical comfort doing jumps and what-not.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent grip (no slip of hands on grip, no slip of grip on bars), good for small hands (small caliber) largely due to minimal thickness of padding. I get numb hands on downhill rides. Despite years of riding, this is my first experience with lock-on grips, so I don't have much reference to compare with other lock-ons. Best used with padded gloves. Not for downhillers.
