Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
I picked up two of these tires on Jenson and used them for about 900 miles of riding, mostly XC singletrack in the midwest and east coast. Rear tires is getting worn down at this point, but the front still looks good.
They roll really fast and grip well. Not so great for wet conditions, but no tire is perfect for both. Sometimes the front wants to wash out in corners, but I haven't had it cause a crash yet.
I found that these tires need relatively high pressure - below ~30psi I could feel them squirm uncomfortably. Overall, though, I'm really happy with them for the conditions I ride in.

Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
This is a good tire for the budget minded. it's a skinny tire but it's fast and carves and climbs well in firm conditions. It's a little slick when on wet rooty conditions though. Runs about a size smaller then listed.
Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
This is my main skinny tire. I've found myself not wanting to use it recently in favor of something fatter. If i was staying skinny this would be it. Local terrain just favors fatter.
Good tread patter, never noticed it breaking loose when i didn't want it. Super low rolling resistance.
Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
I use these tyres for all mountain riding here in Perth, Australia. It doesn't get any more gravelly than here, pea gravel which is like riding on ball bearings!! These tyres are the grippiest tyres you can get for these conditions. Those who say they are no good for loose conditions obviously have never used them right. It doesn't get looser than this. Rolling resistance is minimal, the ramped knobs are perfect, and the side knobs are just perfect for cutting through the gravel and gripping the sand or rock underneath. Great on wet or dry. The Best!!!
Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
I have read reviews that these tires were good for only dry hardpack, loose over Hardpack, Not good in the corners, etc. I have used these as a front tire (2.1 Excep. Casing) since march of this year, and I have ridden in wet, Mud, Sand, Hardpack, Singletrack w/3 inches of new snow(The snow came as we were riding) and I have yet to have this tire wash out. It tracks much better and faster than the Nevegals they replaced, and SOOOO much faster. Clears mud well. Now I know that Michigan has nowhere near the downhills that can be found elsewhere in the world, but when I ride these, I don't worry about how they are going to take a line into a corner, or getting flats. I paired them up with WTB Exiwolf Race in Rear in the slop, and now Maxxis ADvantage in the Summer, and am very happy with the combo.
Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
I was able to install these without too much trouble and have been very happy with them overall. Sure, they don't work quite as well in thick mud or really loose surfaces, but that's not what I got them for anyway. I wanted tires that went fast while letting me corner on hard gravel and dirt; these do that perfectly.
Comments about Maxxis Ignitor Folding Tire 2011:
Fantasic! This is my favorite tire ever. It seems like the perfect combination of low weight, good traction and low rolling resistance for a trail tire. For races, I will put the Ignitor up front and a CrossMark in the back for a perfect setup (for me).
