The Hans Dampf tire made its debut at the Sea Otter Classic last year and critics raved that it set new standards in rubber. The Hans Dampf has strong lugs and grippy tread. The performance version uses Schwalbe’s Offroad Racing Compound (ORC.)

Comments about Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance Tire:

I wanted to try something other than the same old Kenda,Maxxis all over the trails.I read some reviews and bought these. They work great.I ride all mountain.Equal climbing and downhill. They suit this application very well.I have not had a flat yet which is unusual since I weigh 260lbs.Very good tire!!

    Pros

    • Fair Weight
    • Good climber
    • Great price

    Cons

    • Rolling Resis
    • Tops Out All Mtn

    Best Uses

    • All MTN

Comments about Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance Tire:

Solid rough XC, to All Mtn tire. Not going to be a great DH tire. Rolls ok, but lack of ramped knobs slows it compared to others in the class.

For fire roads and trail riding only

    from Southern California

    Pros

    • Light Weight

    Cons

    • Makes you the passenger
    • Missed categorized
    • Over rated
    • Weak side walls

    Best Uses

    • Fire roads
    • Light single track

Comments about Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance Tire:

For some reason these tires are recommended my most bike shops? I too was looking for a light "all mountain" tire with low rolling resistance. These tires are great for pedaling up the hill as long as you have another set of (Minion, Panaracer FR, or Intense 909's) to put on for the way down. The Hans Dampt is "not" intended to be pushed as the side walls fold as the tire picks your line leaving you a passenger……

    Amazing tires

    By SachaT

    from Coquitlam BC, Canada

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • Excellent Grip
    • Low Rolling Resistance
    • Tough and light

    Cons

      Best Uses

      • AM light freeride
      • Extreme XC

Comments about Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance Tire:

These tires are the benchmark in the AM category for their excellent grip, light weight, and amazing cornering performance. When at the limit of traction the tires progressively slide making them easy to control. I like these more than the Minnion DHF for AM riding.
