I love these tires. They make my commuter bike roll so smooth. No flats yet. Should have bought these sooner.

This is a great set of tires. Puts your mind at ease when traveling long distances. 8,000 miles later, tread is gone, and zero flats.

Comments about Schwalbe Marathon Plus 20" Tire:
This is my favorite tire to ride. I have never had a flat on any wheel I have these on and I ride them daily. They absorb the road well. You can even run them on low pressure (usually out of laziness) without fear of pinch flats. I ride hard and pound my wheels, pot holes, bunny hops, riding off curbs, cobbles you name it these tires are money!
Yes the 28c is heavy than nearly every other 28c but it is worth it. If you are a roadie who needs a lighter tire try the 25c it's not nearly as heavy and has all the benefits still.

Comments about Schwalbe Marathon Plus 20" Tire:
Using my bike as a commuter, I want tires that are as reliable as a car's. The Marathon Plus definitely fulfills that catigory.
I often hear a tik-tik-tik sound while riding. I stop to pull out goat-heads, tacks, glass, even a nail. Then I continue on my way - no harm done. In 9K miles I have had exactly 1 flat. It was a 3/8" peice of wire; I accepted that as a worthy opponent.
They grip in rain and dry pavement well. I ride from -5°F to 105°F and the MP is great through that entire range.
The tires are on the expensive side, but they are extremely long wearing. I have included a picture of my rear tire at 9K miles. The tread has nearly worn down, but I expect to get another 3K+ out of them before the protective foam shows through.
Be warned that the bead is very stiff; it can be difficult to mount. I can mount most tires with my bare hands. I have to use tire levers to mount the MP. This intoduces a danger of tube pinch puncture, but be careful and you won't need to mount the tire again for a very long time.
Comments about Schwalbe Marathon Plus 20" Tire:
Worth the money and weight. Allows me to omit the extra tire when touring. The tire absorbs bumps and vibrations well.
Comments about Schwalbe Marathon Plus 20" Tire:
This tire is bombproof. I have not had a flat tire for over two years. The tires are difficult to mount initially, but soften after a week. They are heavy, they double the weight of a wheel set. But they are as i said, bombproof. I've removed glass shards from the tires without leaks or flats. They must however, be properly inflated. They feel a little sketchy if you go through corners at 25 mph with under inflated tires. I switch them out for race wheels when necessary, but for everyday use, they're great. I have em on all my rides, road, cross/commuter, fixie.
