This is the best addition to my toolbox in a long time. It is really nice to be able to bleed the brakes to provide the best possible feel before a race or long ride. Once you learn how to do it you can perform an effective bleed in 15 minutes. It might take 45 the first time.

This product had great directions and was easy to use for my first ever brake bleed. My only concern is the near $50 price tag for a couple of plastic syringes and brake blocks. I can't see the kit being worth much more than 30 bucks. Unfortunately, if you want to do the job you have to but the kit. Hopefully it lasts for a number of years and bleeds.

This is a great kit from avid. You can bleed all your avid brakes and even formula brakes.. not sure about others. Instructions inside are easy to follow. A helper makes it easy to bleed your brakes.

This kit comes complete with everything you need. The directions are clear (watch the videos also). The biggest problem with this setup is the tubing that leaks air past the barbed connectors. They need to fit tighter. The syringes are a little awkward to use also. Avid could step up the quality by using an automotive style bleeder that won't leak air (ie: "Mityvac" style pump). Degassing and subsequent bleed would be more consistent, reliable, and faster. If you have patience, this kit will be adequate.
works great find videos on how to use it saves much time

I had never bled brakes before, and wanted to learn and maybe save some money. I didn't save any money, since the LBS only charges $30 to bleed one brake, but I did learn how to do it myself. Make sure everything is covered (use gloves) with Dot 5 oil! Pretty easy setup and everything worked well when I was done! Now I can bleed once a year without worry.
