PressFit Bottom Bracket Bearing Tool Set
Designed to remove and install the bearings and bearing units used in BB90, BB92, Shimano Press Fit, SRAM Press Fit GXP, Race Face Press Fit and other press fit bottom bracket systems.  The BBT-90.3 includes two installation bushings, which are used in conjunction with an HHP-2 or HHP-3 Bearing Cup Press to press the bearings into the frame.   Also includes a bearing removal tool, which slides through and expands behind the bearing (like a head cup remover) so it can be tapped out with a hammer.

Note:  When the BBT-90.3 becomes available, the current BBT-90 Removal Tool for Press Fit Bottom Brackets will be discontinued.

      Comments about Park Tool BBT-90.3:

Took less than 5 minutes to remove original bottom-bracket. Used all-thread and provided bushings to install new bottom bracket. Care must be taken to keep bearing shells aligned when installing! Best when used with a hammer for removal, not a mallet.

You need another tool to install

      Comments about Park Tool BBT-90.3:

You need both this tool and a press tool like the HHP-2 to install a press fit bottom bracket on a brand new frame.

This includes the tool used to remove the bottom brackets and a pair of #669 bushings used to install a press fit bottom bracket that are not included with HHP-2.

Both tools are of excellent quality, but the fact that the bushings don't come with the HHP-2 mean that you have to spend a lot of money on two separate tools just to install a bottom bracket on a new frame. While I'm normally one to be willing to pay for a good Park Tool, in this case I feel the price isn't commensurate with the product, so I'm deducting a star for that.

Popped the bearings out easy. The included cups combined with some all thread, couple nuts and washers and the install was a snap!

        Comments about Park Tool BBT-90.3:

This tool is used for removing press-fit bottom brackets. Its a simple and easy-to-use tool. Simply thread the pointed end of the tool through one side of the bottom bracket and continue to pull through until the splayed end pops through to the inside of the bottom bracket. Then you need to apply some pretty solid taps on the pointy end...the press-fit bearing will ease out the other side. The down side is that to then fit the new bottom bracket, you need a separate tool to press it into the frame...then the cups that are supplied with this tool can be used with the press tool. A bit of expense required up front, but once you have the two tools, you're set!

This is the kind of tool I like. Cheap, simple and adaptable. I just used the press cups on a large sized bolt and voila, a BB press! Works perfectly.
