its easy to loose, so i keep it in a tool kit with all my bicycle tools, and even in there its sometiems hard to find it.......
its a cheap and sturdy tool, and it should be the only tool you use to tighten the preload on the BB.
the corect torque values are written on the tool, so no need to go back to the manuals, which is handy.
in my opinion, the only thing that would have made this better, was if it had a recess for an hex key so that the correct torque could be applied since its difficult to figure out how much torque you actually apply with your fingers.

This is a nice cheap solution for that crank retention cap. The outer diameter can be a little difficult to grip if the crank cap is too tight so you may need to supplement your grip with a pair of channel locks. Don't tighten that cap too tightly people!

This is the right tool for the job. It's works and it's cheap. It works with almost any Shimano crank center bolt, but you have to loosen the two screws on the side for it to work.

clever little device: it's basically a little plastic disc. you tighten it by hand and it keeps you from over-tightening your hollowtech cranks.
unless you are an orangutan. then you might still get some stripped threads or something. plus, as an orangutan, you'd need a bike with a really long top tube and a really short seat tube
