Comments about Troy Lee Designs WS5205 Wrist Support:
10 years back I broke my wrist horse back riding and screwed myself with unemployment. Any feeling of restriction the wrist guard is thought to have, (it's slight and I agreed with other reviews "you don't notice it"), was more mentally positive for me than an annoying. It's protective and what I wanted. Works great and your palm is comfortable on the bars.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs WS5205 Wrist Support:
After suffering injures on both wrist in one season, I needed wrist support to continue riding while my wrist healed. I bought these TLD WS5205 and 661 wrist supports. The TLD WS5205 fit me better and are true to size.
I wore this under Fox Bomber gloves at Mammoth and Cannell Plunge. There are four removable plastic supports to customize desired support. Yes, it restricts movement as it is design to do. However, after 10mins of riding, I forgot I was wearing it.
The only minor gripe is the minor chafing. It maybe caused by my glove/support combo.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs WS5205 Wrist Support:
I was having a ton of carpal-tunnel induced numbness on my bike, and had been trying all sorts of things to reduce it (Ergon grips, riser bars, adjustable stem). Saw a recommendation for these wrist guards and decided to give them a try, after comparing it alongside several other brands. The TLD 5205 seems to be the beefiest guard and that was the factor that made the decision for me.
Tested it out once I received it (quick shipping!!) and found that it the wrist bracing is firm and strong, and it actually reduced my carpal tunnel symptoms by a great deal. Putting on a padded glove under the guard made it work even better.
The brace is not uncomfortable - actually stopped noticing it after a while. I'm now even wearing it to bed (Doc's orders) since I have been experiencing similar CTS symptoms during sleep. The numbness is now gone!
Really happy with this wrist support.
I was a little confused about sizing at first, but if you order it to match your glove size (i.e. same size as your gloves) it fits perfectly.
