Comments about Truvativ Bolt Kit For Rock Guard:

I needed longer chainring nuts for my single ring conversion, and with a 32t ring, 5mm spacers, crank spider and FSA acrylic clear bash, they did the job perfectly. FWIW, the nut part is 12.5mm long, without the flat head part and the longer bolts are 10mm long without the head. I had about 2-3mm left before the nut goes all the way.

I used blue loctite and snug them tight using the 5mm hex for the bolts and 6mm hex for the nuts. Didn't used the short bolts for the granny, but it was cheaper to get this kit than the E-13 charger one.

The bolts and nuts are stainless, so that's a plus for durability into the wet weather, but time will tell the true. I liked the black finish, but since the nuts threads is bigger than standard, I was not able to use my previous bolts (red), so I'll have to deal with the color change to black. Pretty much the only downside so far. They look nice, but doesn't match as good as my red one did.

This is on a FR bike, and I'm aiming for strength over lightweight parts. Those seems to fit the bill. However I shaved about 5g from using my previous bolts and home-made spacers. The 4 nuts and long bolts plus 4 5mm chainring spacers (10.5mm ID) were about 35g on my small mechanical scale. The previous setup was going for 40g. I went for a good ride with it today and no problem at all.

So if you need a bolt kit for your chainrings, those are 12.5mm long nuts and 10mm long bolts.
