Comments about Velo Vise Lock On Grips:

Well, I installed these grips and right off the bat, they were a huge improvement from any grip I'd ever used before. They're just the right amount of grippy while being soft enough to be quite comfortable. Once you've got them clamped in, they are set and do not move at all. They stay put and chill. I've been riding a ton with them lately and I have yet to see any signs of wear or have any rubber come off on my hands. I had yet to see a fault with these until I came back in from my ride today when I saw that there was this weird thing on the side of my thumb. It looked like pedal bite almost. Then, I saw it was on my other thumb too. I figured it was too suspicious to be a coincidence, so I went back out to my bike and grabbed my handlebars where I normally hold them. Turns out that there's a little (1/8") gap between the grip and the plastic body of the clamp, and the skin on my thumb had been getting pinched in between it. It's pretty annoying, but just throw some back electrical tape over the gap and you're set. Overall, I give these grips 4 stars because I'm annoyed about the pinching but otherwise these are the best deal you will find.
