This will only work with containers that are tapered. Even if your container is tapered, if the diameters are wrong your cup could fall through or barely go in. Even when the cup seems to fit well, if you go over much of a bump, the cup will jump right out. My fiancee uses this on her commuter with a big, clear starbucks-style cup, the kind with a straw designed more for cold drinks. This is one of only a few cups that works with this contraption (and we have a bunch of insulated coffee cups of various designs), but even when the device seems to work perfectly, a moderate bump and the drink jumps out. Hope you're good at catching!
