I used this adapter in combination with a SKS Slidecage Bottle Cage, mounted on the seatpost of my mountain bike. 1. My bottles fly out of the cage by just riding off a curb. 2. The adapter lets go of the seatpost at only slightly bigger impacts. I am in no way a rough rider, but in moderately rocky terrain this adapter keeps falling off. Both problems are easily corrected by tying a small velcro strap around the bottle cage, as well as a strap around the adapter. However, this makes it more finicky to install and use.

Got this adapter for a second bottle cage on my cross bike. It works well for small light weight bottles. When the gravel gets rough it gets a little flimsy feeling though. Good, easy to use product perfect for light use.
