Simple axle, plenty long, good quality. It's pretty heavy, but it is a solid steel axle after all. I used it to adapt a saint bolt on derailleur to a standard hub, and it worked fine. I wouldn't reccomend this, I just did it as a temp fix so I could keep riding.

Used the(10 X 1 X 146mm) to change my '11 Surly Karate Monkey Rear hub to Quick Release. Need to add a chain tensioner to complete the job.

No better way to convert a Shimano rear hub to use on horizontal single speed drops.
Two years later threads are still despite abuse of tightening dirty track nuts.
