Didn't shake well @ first application... rigid commute to work.
Once I did it right, it was... Zip!Whoosh!

I ride in very dusty conditions previously used oil based lub which was used up after 4 rides along with a very dirty drive train, my drive train was shot after 2 seasons of riding. Now with "clean ride" after 2 rides the drive train is clean and the chain still sounds quiet, I don't mind the lubing part it was the cleaning that became a chore . If it lasts 4 rides between lubing I'm happy.

i ride everyday in dusty conditions, cleaning the drive train was a must every 4 days and my drive train (sprockets and chain) were shot after 2 seasons. This lub is amazing, after 4 days everything is still clean and the chain still does not seem dry as it would after 4 days of using an oil based lub. Great stuff.

ride in dusty conditions always, oil based chain libs caked dirt on and were useless after 4 days of riding, this stuff looks good after the same period and the chain and sprockets are clean as a whistle, most important the chain still doesn't sound dry. I guess time will tell, previously my drive train was shot after 2 seasons of riding and lots of cleaning.

a great lube that keeps your chain working, clean and lasts a good distance between applications.

I've tried many different types of chain lubes from various companies but nothing comes close to White Lightning Clean Ride. After trying this lube it will take a lot to get me to switch to anything else. This lube really does seem to clean your chain as you ride, I ride through various conditions such as dusty, muddy and snow but this lube works in all of them. My chain keeps quite and looking clean all the time since using this lube.
The only con I can think of is when riding in really dry conditions the lube seems to wear off quickly (perhaps because it sheds off all the dust) so I have to reapply every couple of days but its totally worth it.

Reliable stuff as always. I had another type before that you had to shake and was white and thicker. Wasn't as "liquid-y", but not a big deal if you're not spraying it out like crazy.

Good product. Does what it says. I can carry this product in my seat bag and use it to lube the chain on longer (century) rides. It's not messy.

Flaking off sounds great for "cleanliness", unless it flakes off on your carpeting. Furthermore, why be obsessed with cleanliness of the chain? Unless you're riding in a white tux, if you get some on your leg, just wash it off. I use Phil Wood oil and almost never get a mark. Yes, my chain is filthy. But it is lubricated and stays that way.

I really like this stuff... I don't know if I'll ever use anything else. Over time, the chain will still get a little dirty as metallic particles slowly build up from normal wear of the drivetrain. But dirt and dust don't tend to accumulate and stick to the wax/polymers so it's MUCH cleaner than traditional petroleum lubes. This product is basically a formula of wax & lubricating polymers that are suspended in a solvent when you shake up the bottle. After you apply the product, the solvent has to evaporate before the wax/polymers "set up" and adhere to the metal. So you can't just apply it and then hop on the bike and go for a ride. Also the chain, cogs, etc. must be clean and dry before you apply the lube otherwise it will not penetrate and evenly coat all the moving parts (particularly the internal parts of the chain, which are very important!) I apply it once to a clean/dry chain, then again the next morning, then finally a third time after a few more hours. On my wife's mountain bike, I tried just doing two light applications an hour apart... that seemed to be enough but then one morning after a particularly rainy ride, I noticed some rust on the chain's side plates. On the road bikes, where I did 3 applications initially, I've never had any visible rust even after several rainy rides. So I strongly recommend three light applications initially, and a single light re-application after every 30 miles or so to replace the amount of lube that wears off through normal use.
