I've got to respond to the skipping issue, as well, because I made the same mistake: I put it on in the wrong orientation, and had a skip about every pedal revolution. I reversed the link, and it's fixed. Other advantages? It removes and installs by hand (similar links from two other manufacturers have needed tools), and my first one is now on its fourth chain (all from other manufacturers).

Unlike the Sram links these do not get stuck after being on for a while. The ten speed ones are reuseable and easy on/off. However they are asymmetrical and if you are running 11t cog and you install the connector upside down the outer plate will ride up on the cassette lock ring and cause it to skip. Simply flip the plates, outer plate goes to inner etc and the skipping will stop. I don't recall it being very clear in the instructions.

This masterlink looks good at first. Works as intended and install was straight forward. Everything was fine until I went to my highest gear and it started skipping at every revolution. I tuned my RD thinking it was the H, but no adjustment could not take skipping away. I changed to a different brand masterlink and the skipping is gone.
