Merchandiser

The Category Merchandiser helps Jenson USA meet sales and growth goals by providing superior product merchandising, technical descriptions, size charts, and effective product categorization and attribute tagging for JensonUSA.com.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Research, describe, tag, and QA new items in assigned product category (Components, Complete Bikes, Apparel, Accessories, etc)
  2. Act as a go-between from Customer Service to Purchasing, entering a new product request as opportunities or needs are identified
  3. Work with photographer to identify best sources of images for any given product
  4. Maintaining flags for free shipping, temporary promotions, etc.
  5. Identify appropriate filters for each product node
  6. Ensure that assigned category is searchable, sorts and filtering tools work properly
  7. Optimize product descriptions with an eye on conversion and search engine optimization
  8. Respond to consumer inquiries regarding product specifications; update specs as necessary

Being a bicycle enthusiast is a must. Strong written, grammar, verbal skills are important, as well as understanding how to operate computers (internet browsing, email, office applications). Knowledge of HTML is helpful, but not required.

Merchandiser Lead

The Merchandiser Lead Category Merchandiser helps Jenson USA meet sales and growth goals by providing superior product merchandising, technical descriptions, size charts, and effective product categorization and attribute tagging for JensonUSA.com. This position also serves as a leadership role for other members of the Merchandising team, providing high-end technical guidance, best practices for product descriptions and categorization, etc. The Merchandising Lead defines each category Node used on JensonUSA.com and its attributes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Research, describe, tag, and QA new items in assigned product category (Components, Complete Bikes, Apparel, Accessories, etc)

Will-Call Desk Clerk

The Will-Call Desk Clerk is the primary way that customers in our Riverside Will-Call center interact with Jenson USA. This position helps customers with order entry, returns, and selection of components. Provides guidance on the usage and suitability of the products we sell.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Will-Call customers with order entry: manual entry of orders, guidance on using kiosks, etc
  2. Pick orders from the Jenson USA warehouse for delivery to customers. Notify customers of pending Will-Call pickups and availability dates.
  3. Prepare the Will-Call Center for normal operations at opening time (lights, signage, setup PCs, etc) and handle End of Day procedures.
  4. Handle overflow incoming customer service phone calls and email on an as-needed basis
  5. Assist with the setup and teardown of marketing events at the Will-Call Center (movie premieres, vendor presentations, etc)

Prior bicycle industry experience is a must. No formal education is required. Strong written, verbal skills are important, as well as understanding how to operate computers (internet browsing, email, office applications).

Buyer Assistant

Assist Inventory Analyst/Buyers on Maintaining open Purchase Orders and completing Purchasing Department data entry. Maintaining Reports for the Purchasing Department. Communicate closely with Receiving, Accounting and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Item Creation
    • In line product creation
    • Outlet Item creation
  • Item Maintenance
    • Assign vendor item to item numbers
    • Maintain price changes
    • Discontinue product as it becomes unavailable
  • Website monitoring
    • Check that MSRPs are listed
    • Check that closeout items are indicated as closeout
    • Offer prices set up
  • Receiving Manager
    • Maintain PORC Queue
    • Receive inventory into stock after Pos are sent to the PORC Queue from the Receiving Dept.
    • Manage Shortages/overages
  • POD (PO Discrepancy inventory)
    • Contact buyers to determine if the product can be put into stock or if it needs to go back to the Vendor.
    • Contact vendors regarding PO discrepancies
  • Maintain Open POs
    • ETAs (contact vendors to get estimated time of arrival on open BOs).
    • Work on daily past due date reports for open POs
  • Purchasing KPIs
    • Maintain weekly reports for the Purchasing Department meetings
    • Check that closeout items are indicated as closeout
    • Maintain BO Status Report

Prior bicycle industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Customer Support I

Our Customer Support team interacts with our customers using telephone, email, and live chat. As a member of our team you'll be expected to share your passion for bicycles while assisting customers with placing orders, returns, exchanges, etc; as well as handling problems like lost parcels or shipping damage.

Candidates for this position should:

• Have extensive knowledge of bicycle components and compatibility
• Be a team player
• Have flexibility in scheduling, as this is a retail hours position that occasionally requires weekend work
