I could not find anything at the local bike shops which came close to the quality (none of them worked either).
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:Before I wrote this I put about 400 miles of use to this clamp. I am 6'5", 250 Lbs, and I could not keep my post from slipping on my Trek. This clamp works, the longer lever allows for more clamping force. Top quality piece.
Product Weaknesses:Very pricey, but you get what you pay for
My Bike:Trek Navigator 300 (35 mm clamp)

I will put a salsa QR seatpost clamp on every bike I buy from here on out. It lets me put my bikes in my SUV by putting my seat up and down quickly. Awesome product.
Product Used For: 6 Months
Product Strengths:Strongest hold out there. Extremely high quality. Very smooth action. I paid 30 bucks for this (well, actually, 60, I put one on my cyclocross bike too) and worth every penny.
Product Weaknesses:Not free, but will last as long as your bike. Longer.
My Bike:Felt road bike, Fuji Cyclocross bike. Both lightweight aluminum/carbon fiber.

The combo Salsa seat clamp and quick release combo is the best thing out there. When you adjust the hex bolt end properly, and course you've got the right diameter seat post for your frame, the quick release lever is smooth and locks everything in place. I've had troubles in the past using old clamps like the Ringle twist /pray/do it again, and other fancy but non effective units. The Salsa clamp makes worrying about bumps /jumps and your seatpost height a thing of the past. Set it, forget it, and enjoy the ride.
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:The lever action is very very very smooth. Adjustable by the hidden hex bolt end so that it looks clean and perfect. Nothing extra to catch your skin or shorts. The long lever itself has a nice progressive curve that actually fits the clamp without using cupped nylon spacers that eventually smash or wear away. It works as well as a fixed bolt system. Seat posts don't move even if you've slammed your bike with your bottom still on the seat. Ouch.
Product Weaknesses:You've got to know what size to order. I recommend buyers use an accurate caliper to check the outside diameter of your frame. Make sure you carry a multi hex tool with you in case you need to adjust it in the field.
My Bike:I''ve run a Salsa seat clamp on my XC titanium rig and have just order two more for my Pushed Intense 5.5 and Komodo disc play bike.

I've had this clamp for a few years now and haven't had to think about it, I pull the post when I wash my bike. I adjusted the seat many times before I got it at the height I was happy with. I would say of the aftermarket or stock QR seat clamps I've experienced, it's top of the line function and quality.
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:It's top notch fit and finish. Clamps very evenly. The action of the cam lever is super smooth.
Product Weaknesses:None. I had sand the gap bigger on mine to make it close tighter. BUT, I probably got a size that a was a little to big for my frame.
My Bike:Jamis Dakar pro, Easton carbon post, 200lb rider

Enough reading, if you like to lower your seat to bomb downhill and raise it when going up, this is what you need.
Product Used For: 1 Year
Product Strengths:Simply the best quick release seat collar you can buy. Sure 25 bucks is a bit much, but you won't think so after you use it for a while. Nothing comes close to holding the seat like this collar. It's super smooth, you gotta watch out you don't make it to tight. This makes adjustments very easy on the trail.
Product Weaknesses:Only down side is that if your seat post increases in diameter as it goes lower you have to turn the screw on the seat clamp a little because you can't rotate the quick release handle, NOTE: this is a seat post problem and the fix is easy, get a new seat post, because only the cheap, weak post are like this. The fact that the salsa has the built in seat for the quick release is nice, and makes it very strong.
My Bike:Currently on a Diamondback X2, set up for little duttie freeriding.
