My first hydro and I know I made the right choice with AVID, I have two of there 2nd Gen bb disks, and they planted the seed that is my trust with AVID, and these stoppers hold true to that trust. AVID's CPS is a godsend, I know many out there can, and willingly do go through all the shimming and facing to properly install other brakes, but the way I see it is, why if you don't have to?
Product Used For: 3 Months
Product Strengths:BEEFY, these are very will built, they look like they belong on a motorcycle.
Huge power out of the box, one finger is almost too much.
No squeal out of the box.
AVID CPS is the only way to go.
Setup was a breeze, just as easy as my old AVID bb.
Product Weaknesses:Eh, not sure what the deal is, but the lever throw is long, so long in fact that if I adjust the lever position in to where my short finger can easily reach it, the lever can be pulled until it pinches the rest of my fingers in between the lever and the handle bar. I have to run the levers almost all the way out. I just reach out and get a hold of the lever and pull it in to a comfortable bent finger position and ride from there, perhaps that's how you are supposed to do it, I don't know. A re-bleed might solve this by adding a little more fluid volume, but everything works fine so I'll wait to try that.
My Bike:Jamis Diablo 2.0, Marzocchi 888, A-Class DH wheels, SRAM X9 shifter and derail, Race Face Evolve DH cranks ect...
