I built two bike about the same time, one with the Jagwire Hyper housings, one with the Avid Straightjacket housings. The cheaper Jagwire housings blow the more expensive Avid housings away. The Jagwire housings are so smooth, and the Avid's so sticky, that I am going to replace all the Avid housings on my second bike. I highly recommended these.

I needed 2 more inches of housing for the derailleurs but the brake kit came with an abundance of housing. Good cables good price.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths: Great price, good housing and stainless
Product Weaknesses: The derailleur pack should have come with about 2 more inches of housing.

I run these on my XC hard tail which also has Hayes mechanical disc brakes. I've run the generic stuff in the past and they've worked OK but none has performed as well as these! Smooth shifting and braking (almost feels like hydraulics) very little maintenance.
I don't think I will ever go back to the "generic" kits.
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths: Very durable, low maintenance and reasonably price.
Product Weaknesses: Maybe offer different colors?
