Great chain at a great price would recommend it to anyone with shimano parts group. Great for any type of riding.
Product Used For: 1 Year
Product Strengths:Smooth shifting when used with shimano cassettes. Mechanic's Tip: Always use shimano cassettes with shimano chain and sram chain with sram cassettes for best shifting performance. Great chain for the price. I have about 500 offroad miles on this chain and it will need replacing soon.
Product Weaknesses:Factory grease doesn't last long, lube after or during first ride
Invest in parts washer, chain tool, and a lot of chain pins for proper care
My Bike:USA Made 2004 Trek 4900 with all new parts
Used for Marathon Racing and Training

If it doesn't break the first 100 rides buy another one and keep using the same brand. It lasts through the toughest shifting situations on the trail and after oxygen deprivation, not all shifting is wear it is supposed to be, so very forgiving. I'll get more.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:Held together pretty well through tough terrain.
Product Weaknesses:A little heavy.

I have competed in a few races but I've been to tons of club rides since 2000.
I have a mechanical engineering background
Product Used For: 3 Months
Product Strengths:Quality chain at a reasonable price.
Outperformed the 7701 XTR chain in my case.
Product Weaknesses:Not really weaknesses but more like a few warnings:
Initial grease needs to be removed with degreaser and park chaingang, then dried immediately with a towel to prevent corrosion. Re-oil often.
Never throw a new chain on a bike before a big offroad ride or a competition. Break it in first! On the first ride, try to avoid shifting too much and allow the chain to stretch a bit. It will work much better after that.
My Bike:XC bike, full XT/XTR
