David a Roadie from Fountain Hill, Pa United States writes:
I have been on a quest for years for a bottle that worked and didn't make the water taste like it came out of a garden hose. A friend of mine had this bottle, and I had to get it.
It really doesn't make the water taste like plastic, yet is still squeezable. I tried their earlier, too big, Lexan bottles with a straw and a flip-up nozzle. Pain in the ass. The plastic looks better than the new one, but that's about it.
I have tried aluminum bottles with liners, Nalgene bottles, everything I could find. These are the best. The only thing that comes close is the overpriced Sigg, which has the disadvantage of rattling in the bottle cage. Also, the valve on the Sigg does not work as well as the Camelback.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:Water tastes like water. The valve seems miraculous. Squeeze the bottle, or suck on it, and the water flows out easily. Turn it upside down, nothing drips out. Nothing to pull on with your teeth, or tops to flip open. Seems to be what I want in a water bottle.
Product Weaknesses:None. If you ride off-road and need a cap over the bottle to keep mud off, you might need something else, but for road riding I'm happier with this than any other bottle I've used.
