Don't waste your money on this item. Buy something better. Pedros makes some good products, this however, is not one of them.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Weaknesses:The description fails to mention that there is only enough on each roll for one wheel? The stuff is sticky on both sides, but not enough to actually stick to the rim. Then it slides and stretches all out of place as you wrap the rim. By the time you get all the way around the valve stem hole has deformed and the valve stem wont fit through, time for more readjustments. Don't waste your money on this
My Bike:Evil frame, Race Face cranks and other assorted parts to make it ride the way I want it to...

I thought I would buy this poor excuse for rim tape to save a couple of bucks on a new set of wheels for my fiancee. First of all, it doesn't stick worth a darn, and I prep all of my rims with denatured alcohol prior to applying rim tape as a rule. Second, this stuff stretches like it's made of elastic which means the valve hole moves and deforms as you apply the tape. Third, both sides are equally sticky which means your tire bead will grab onto to it and shift the tape to the side exposing all of the spoke holes. If ever there were a more useless cycling product, I have yet to find it. Spend the extra for Velox rim tape which is a truly excellent product well worth the price. As the previous reviewer stated, burning your money is probably a better deal than wasting your money on this crap.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:It's yellow which makes for a nice contrast against black rims.
Product Weaknesses:Where can I start?

I'm a very noobish rider, but rim tape is pretty straightforward.. Its the first rimtape I've ever used, and it will be the last time I use it.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:Makes a great noose to hang yourself with.
Product Weaknesses:Horrible tape. It would not stick to rim. I managed to get it to work but all my tubes get popped by the cut metal holes for the spokes because the tape moves. Being adhesive on both sides doesn't help either.

I know it is only rim tape, but it is the worst product I have ever purchased for my bike. I think Pedro's is trying to play a joke with this stuff. Take your 4 bucks (2 rolls) and light it on fire. Watching it burn will be much less frustrating.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Weaknesses:Absolutely sucks. Why is it sticky on both sides? Will not stick to rim at all.

Not happy with these rim strips. They just don't stay put as I'd expect it to. I'm still on the hunt for a rim strip or rim tape that won't move when I mount and remove tires from this rim. Pedros rim tape does the job poorly.
Product Used For: 6 Months
Product Strengths:Fits nicely in the width of my Sun SubIV OE rims (Pedros rim tape and Sun rims purchased from JensonUSA). Easy to apply rim tape (only the stretchy one-piece rubber or nylon or plastic rim strips are easier to apply). Covers spoke heads as it should but... (see weaknesses)
Product Weaknesses:I had trouble getting the strip to stay put. Initial application of strip to rim is straight forward. After mounting both beads onto the rim, I usually push the beads in toward the rim channel before inflation (the part of the rim with the smallest diameter where sir kevlar bead will sit.) By doing this, the bead will force the rim tape out of position, sometimes exposing rim spoke holes. NOTE: I have experienced this same problem having used Velox rim tape on other wheels. However, the Velox seems to stay in position longer than the Pedros rim tape. Why? er... Velox uses stronger adhesive??
My Bike:Specialized Hardrock. Tires get swapped often for XC or city bike specific setup. Hand built my own wheels using Sun SubIV OE rims and Pedros rim tape (from JensonUSA), using DT Swiss 14/15 stainless spokes and brass nips mounted on Specialized Stout Skraxle front hub and XT rear hub.
