I wouldn't get one again. While it is nifty, I don't think that it's worth the cost. Perhaps if it didn't break, but mine did. I think that you can clean a chain just as well with a sponge and some cleaning fluid.
Product Used For: 3 Months
Product Strengths:Cleans a chain well.
Product Weaknesses:Difficult to get chain through without spilling cleaning fluid all over the place. First the plastic started cracking, then the casing, handle and cleaning wheel broke after about 10 uses. Really didn't hold up well.
My Bike:Kona Blast, XT drivetrain, BB7's, Marz Fork

I've tried several brands and models of chain cleaners.
I can't stress this enough: This is the only one that works despite its numerous flaws: It does something the others fail to do properly: It cleans your chain without snagging/jamming the chain.
I recommend the eco-friendly green degreaser from MEC in Canada.
Make sure you rinse your chain with water after cleaning and then dry it with a towel or the new coat of chain lube will not work! And rinse your cm5 too!
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:Cleans the chain well, in very little time, Easy to use.
This is the only similar product that works. It's far from perfect but at least it cleans your chain withour jamming all the time.
Spare brushes kit available alone.
Product Weaknesses:It's easy to put the top cap backwards, the design could be improved.
The side metal clips don't stay in their slots and there's a big risk to lose them, the design could be improved.
The two slim plastic "feet" break easily, the design could be improved.
The magnet holder is very weak, the design could be improved.
It spills a lot of liquid.
The sponge material is sensitive to degreasers. Make sure you rinse the sponge every use.
The wider the chain the better it is; not as good on recent narrow 10-speed road chains.

It cleans chains good but it is very messy, well made but the top can be installed the wrong way
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:It cleans chains good and is well made like all Park tools
Product Weaknesses:It cleans chains but it is beyond messy, use it outside with dishsoap and a bucket, use bio-degradable solvent as needed to disolve the old grease, use it just before rinsing the entire bike with soap and water; product is well made but the top can be installed the wrong way which may have caused the failure listed above; don't rinse it out in the kitchen sink! After using it, rinse and let dry; the brushes & pins can be removed to avoid corrosion

I followed the instructions and it did indeed clean the chain very well. however, i did experience alot of spilling, and it was quite a mess. It also broke after the first use. The area where metal clips lock in, just snapped right
off. that part if way too flimsy. i can still use it but it doesnt lock the way its supposed to. so even tho it cleaned the chain good, it spills a lot and product durability is questionable

Michael a Roadie from Seattle, Wa United States writes:
This was used with the park solvent sold separately but they say you can use dish soap. It is very easy to use and hardly has any spill on the floor, what I had was from leaky bottle cap. It cleaned a chain that had some kind of teflon lube on it and maybe stock new chain grease. After round two I wiped the chain and the rag was still very dark. Clean up is another matter, it is a total mess in the sink and the inside areas of the chain cleaner is very greasy the solvent does not dump out and leave it clean. The brushes are very stiff and many of them all over. The wick works great at exit part of chain to eliminate dripping. After it is assembled there is a two hole resevoir at the top to fill it up with solvent. They say it is not to be used with gasoline etc.
Product Used For: 1 Month
Product Strengths:minimum mess outside of unit.
Product Weaknesses:Have to use it at least twice as instructed.
