Gone are the days where we must sacrifice our helmet's weight and comfort for that extra measure of head protection and the Kali SHIVA proves it. Kali pulled all of their tricks and technologies out of the bag and strategically implemented them into the SHIVA to deliver a motorcycle safety-rated helmet into a downhiller's size and weight class.
Through their Composite Fusion Three Technology, Kali was able to design the SHIVA to achieve one of the lightest D.O.T. helmets on the market, weighing in at a svelte 1000 grams. The Composite Fusion technology features a thinner shell that allows the impact to go straight to the interior foam cones that work to dissipate energy before it reaches the pilot. On the inside, the SHIVA employs anti-microbial fit pads for unrivaled comfort, while the Integrated Airflow System keeps air efficiently moving throughout the helmet to keep you cool.
The exterior carbon fiber shell features an integrated camera/light mount that makes capturing your sweet lines or going for a nigh ride that much easier.

Im down hill biking with it and its light for a full face. Vents are great. I gave four stars but its probably my funny head. When I pull down on the front it sets right. But when I first slipped it on there is a lack of padding for my forehead.
The best thing, and why I bought the helmet, is the weight. It is light. I have a problematic neck and the light weight really helps. It is also as well vented as most of the helmets out there. The bad: 1) The visor is junk. There is this cheesy clip that holds the middle of the visor where it meets the helmet. The tension adjustment is hard to reach with the visor in place. It will not survive the first branch and you can't push it up/down while riding. 2) the opening is not the same as the brain-bucket. By this, I mean I'm a large. Wearing a large, it fits well enough. Putting it on/taking it off, almost removes my ears. The helmet tapers smaller at the neck hole. Good thing its light. Kali better work their bugs out before the time Shoei or other big manufacturers make a light helmet.
