I've had brake issues since day one with my bike. At 240 pounds (with gear), I never felt that the stock brakes were up to the task of slowing me down on big decents. I read tons of reviews stating a touchy "On/Off" feeling to the Saints, but that has not been my experience at all (yes, if you grab a handful of brake in a panic, they are absolutely enough to throw you). I run them with 203mm front and rear IceTech 86 rotors and have had zero brake fade. Single greatest upgrade to my bike (dare I say, even better than my dropper post?!). Very easy to install and setup. Took 20 minutes to swap over to these while sitting on my garage floor.

PROS: Lots Of Power, Easy to install, Adjustability, Sexy

CONS: None

BEST USES: Mountain Bikes, Clydesdales, All mountain, Downhill

Bought rear Saint for my DH bike. Very powerful. I'm using with existing 180mm guide rotor. Modulation not as good as the SLX brakes on my trail bike but still satisfactory. Took a while to bed the pads in though. Felt like it took a good 10 runs at the bike park before they felt awesome. Will prob end up buying organic pads after the metal pads wear out.

I bought these to replace some Avid Elixer9's..

I am running extremely light rotors and these have more than enough braking power to stop me when I want but yet ton's of modulation for the ultimate control over the braking power..

These have been total silent in use and have put on nearly 500miles in wet, dry and sandy conditions..

Minimal brake fade when wet and once used dry quickly and right back to max braking power..

I went for the max braking power over the XTR's and happy I did.. Not a single regret with this purchase..

Gives the bike that serious riding look..

Would buy them again in a second..

I haven't had to bleed them or any kind of maintenance in 500miles of varied riding..

PROS: Durable, Versatile, Easy to Use, Superior Stopping Power

CONS: None

BEST USES: XC, Mountain Bikes, DH, Trail Riding, Aggresive Riding

There is no better brake for a big guy that likes to downhill. They stop like craze and have a fantastic feel. One finger is all you'll ever need. The quality of the materials is outstanding and they are the easiest brake on the market to bleed. Not that you'll have to do that very often I might add.

Shimano saint
I was debating between the shimano z brakes and these saints, I do a lot of downhill, freeriding, and a little of everything else. Having the adjustable brake lever is super convenient for me! The break throw in these brakes is absolutely amazing, 100% recommend them, maintenance is super easy on them as well. I will be. Using these for my other bikes!

These are the best. Period.
Absolutely stunning brakes. Reliable. Unmatched stopping power under all circumstances, and the best part is the unmatched service that is behind Shimano if you need it.
Freshly installed Shimano Saints.

If I choose "Left" on the dropdown list, is it going to be for the front brake? Other store have it specific on their choices.
MTBKR on May 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, when it says "left" on the dropdown list it is referring to the front brake which most peoples levers are on the left side of their bars.
Are these brakes hydraulic?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes these Saint 820's are hydraulic, they have pistons in the caliper that are hydraulically actuated by the brake lever. Very powerful and easy to modulate. These are mainly used for downhill riding because of there heat management and power, however they can be used on all mountain bikes at the price of heavier weight. If one won't be downhilling it's best to use lighter duty brakes such as the Shimano XT to save weight and a few dollars. Hope this helps.
Do you need to purchase a brake adapter for the rear?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: What size brake adapter you use is dictated by the size rotor you're running, and of course, the brand of caliper.
If you're replacing a Shimano caliper with another Shimano caliper(this Saint for instance), but are not changing the size of your rotor, then you won't need a new adapter.
If, on the other hand, you're stepping up say from a 180mm rotor to a Shimano 203mm rotor, you'll need a bigger adapter.
If you're replacing a SRAM brake system with this Saint, you'll need a Shimano brake adapter, as except on rare occasions, brake adapters don't work from one brand to another.
If i choose black left, is it for front and rear brakes?
A shopper on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No , it will be only for the front brake. If You Want for the right too , You have To depict again.
Are these Spec-B compatible?
RallyImprezive on Mar 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these have I-Spec B compatible levers.

Do I have to order front and rear bakes separately?
Darius D on Dec 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Darius,

These are sold as right or left levers/calipers individually. That means you will need to order 1 of each for a complete set of brakes.
