Chris King lives by the ideal that a product is not worth making unless it is made better. This ethos is expressed in every single component that leaves through the doors of their factory in Portland, OR. Designed to be the best performing and longest lasting components on your bike, their headsets, hubs, and bottom brackets are meticulously machined with obsessive precision using USA-sourced steel and aluminum. This obsession for perfection and reliability was the driving force to Chris King producing their very own bearings in-house using USA-sourced steel.
Chris King headsets, hubs, and bottom brackets are designed to be the last you will ever need. Their bearings are even designed so that, as their angular contact bearing races burnish, they get faster with age. As a manufacturer they have gone to great lengths to minimize their environmental impact, such as using canola oil instead of traditional cutting fluid, so they can recapture, clean, and reuse it indefinitely. The impact of manufacturing includes the entire lifespan of a part. With a full support of replacement parts, each component can be fully serviced at home or through Chris King directly reducing the need to replace these components.
