What does it take to make the ultimate grip? Just ask DMR and professional Mountain Biker Brendan (Brendog) Fairclough. Together they designed the Deathgrip flangeless grip to work with all types riding, from trail to DH. The Deathgrip combines a waffle and knurl pattern for grip, and mushroom section for comfort. The tapered core allows the use of only an outer lockring, but still holds just as secure as any dual clamp design.
Tapered Core | No need for outer lock ring

What a great grip. It really glues in your hands. For those in doubt about measurements, I will bring you the label size informations: Soft or Hard compound: 20A / 25A Thick or Thin: 29,8 / 31,3 (diameter)
I bought these a few weeks ago to replace my Deity Knuckledusters, which started to tatter and tear after a few tough wrecks this summer. I bought the Deathgrips in size small, and with hindsight I'm not sure if that means smaller diameter or shorter length of the grip. Either way, my hands simply get sore using these. In fact, I decided to start swapping different grips onto the left and right end of my bars to check the difference, and these definitely make my hands more sore in a crampy kind of way. It could be due to a new grip in a different diameter--and my muscles needing to get used to it, but I found myself working my hands toward the center of the bars where the grip pattern/texture was more like the Knuckledusters--and maybe just more familiar. Maybe not. Anyway, these have gotten great reviews from professionals and customers alike--and they're certainly affordable enough to experiment and a high-quality product--but I think I'm going to keep looking for something different that suits my hands just a little better.
When I installed the grips I was really stoked, they were easy to put on my bars and felt really good in the palm of my hand. I especially liked the mushroom section, It was very comfortable on the inside of my thumb. Unfortunately in 4 rides they started to come apart. I wouldn't buy these again unless I was installing them for looks. Whatever they are made with does not last. I do not recommend these grips, every other pair of grips I have owned lasts at least a few months before they start to wear like this.
They are sick. They look good and they feel good. I love how they were clearly thoughtful in the pattern on the grips, and I think the different patterns in different parts really do make a difference in grip and comfort.
Most know who Brendog is and the rad DMR gear he endorses. These are really good grips - I have tried quite a few and having long monkey arms and large hands... sometimes bike fits are a challenge. I knew as soon as I installed these (thick version) they were gonna rock. They are well made and look awesome (black color) on my mostly black bike. Remember to give them a tap with a hammer on the ends to make sure they seat fully when installing as they are a tight taper fit and don't move at all once the 3mm is tight. First ride I wasn't disappointed, these do have super Kung Foo (Death Grip) I was looking for. Glad I gave them a try. RideOn
These are a little thinner than my previous grips, Oury. They took a couple of rides to get used to, but I'm really enjoying the improved feeling that these are giving me. They're not showing much wear after a season of riding.
