Doing the most in axle technology, the new patented RWS wheel mounting system from DT Swiss is stiffer and safer than a conventional quick release. The ratcheting system tightens the Thru Axle by rotation, rather than using a cam. Once tightened, the lever can be rotated into the desired position, so it stays tucked out of the way. If you prefer a cleaner look or you are looking for added security, the Plug-In version allows you to remove the lever all together and stow it away in your pack, or perform double duty by using it as a 5mm mini hex tool.

DT Swiss has released a new high engagement hub for trail and gravity riders.The new DEG hub still utilizes DT Swiss' ratchet system, but the ratchet itself is almost twice as big as the current ratchet in order to match the large hub shell of the new hub. The max number of teeth available used to be 54, but the new DEG ratchet has grown to 90 teeth, which provides 4º of engagement angle, greatly reducing the play between engagement points.
