The DRT-5 is Oakley’s first venture into the world of mountain bike helmets. As you would expect from Oakley, the DRT comes with several cool features designed to improve usability of sunglasses with the helmet. Don’t worry though, sunglasses weren’t the only thing considered during design process of the DRT. The helmet is safe, stylish, and comfortable. Oakley incorporated the renowned MIPS system into the DRT-5. A MIPS equipped helmet features a low-friction layer that allows the outer shell of the helmet to slide during impact. This decreases the risk of minor and severe brain injuries. To ensure a great fit, Oakley uses the BOA system to secure the helmet around your head. A silicone strip on the forehead portion of the helmet also helps channel sweat to the sides and out of your eyes.
As I said in the beginning, the DRT-5 has some cool features designed for sunglasses. The BOA cables fit tight against your head allowing sunglasses to be comfortably worn while wearing the helmet. The helmet straps are also attached towards the outside of the helmet shell so that sunglasses can easily lie within the straps. The most unique feature of the helmet is the sunglasses clip on the back of the helmet. Flip up the chip and easily store and secure your sunglasses when you are not using them. You will no longer have to deal with glasses poking you in the head when you place them on your helmet. If you are in the market for a new helmet and you love to ride with glasses, take a serious look at the Oakley DRT-5.

Please remember that FIT is more important for helmets than any other gear. If it fits, wear it. Traditionally, Bell and Fox have fit better than GIRO for me, your mileage may vary.
Features - BOA ratchet - nice and non-intrusive. I do note the lack of big plastic head holders along/behind the ear that are usually part of the fitment system for a lid. Adjustment is good, feels good on the trail.
Silicone sweat gutter/pad/thing - so far, so good. Coming into the sweaty season now. Running just this up front and one pad at the top...I do notice that there is more sweat shaking out of the helmet in general than with the usual padded setups, and the habit of stopping to "juice" the helmet pads yields nada. It feels fine on the forehead and keeps sweat off the brow for the most part, but I think I have more sweat drip down from other areas of the helmet
Removeable GoPro Mount - OH SNAP, $200 lid doesn't have it. -1 star, because this is great for night riding setup.
Glasses holder - Sillyness, but justifies OAKLEY's move into the helmet world. I don't anticipate ever finding this feature useful, but I'm open to change.
MIPS - this works, their implementation seems to be on par with other MFGs.
Overall, this lid fits my head well. Airflow is as expected, visor feels quality, and I guess I'll be sticking a gopro sticky mount to the top.
