Keeping your chain cleaned and lubed will ensure that it works properly for a long time. One of the easiest ways to clean your chain is to completely remove it from the bike. If your chain uses a master link, you can use the Park Tool MLP-1.2 Chain Link Pliers. They make removal and replacement of your master links quick and effortless. It inserts into the master link with specially sized jaws, then you squeeze the handles to open, or pull the handles to close the link. It is compatible with 5 to 12-speed chains.
