This is just first impressions. I've been using Evoc Hip pack race pro 3l for almost 6 months. The pack was swining on by back on the downhills and technical uphills. That was annoying when I was racing or I want to do some longer rides. I decided to buy a Camelbak Repack LR4. The pack is considered better. All pockets are useful and easy to access. Side pocket can handle my 6x2,7 inches(15cmx7cm) phone (myPhone Axe M LTE). The pack looks less solid than Evoc but it is lighter than Evoc for sure. The price is better with a bladder than Evoc without a bladder and we all knew than Camelbak does the best one. The back side maybe not got the best ventilation but Evoc ventilation makes pack unstable. So I hope Camelbak gonna be enough ventilation with grip and stability. Magnet is really strong. I love the idea of reflection and additional straps near the back pockets. I got almost 38'' in waist and got some spare on the belt. You can easy fit your belt and buckle feel strong and solid. I am impressed. I knew Camelbak products are good but I didnt think that good. Worth every penny.
Really enjoy this pack for medium distance rides. The addition of the tensioner straps to secure the pack once your water volume changes, makes a huge difference. I would recomend this pack works great, just keep it packed light for best results.
It quickly fills up to a point of being uncomfortable. I only use it for short rides where I take about 500ml of water and my pump/tool. If I need to pack a vest I grab my backpack. I wouldn't use it except my bike doesn't have a bottle cage mount :(
