The Absolute Black Cyclocross Chainring can augment your CX rig even further with its' lightweight, stiff construct, and clean good-looks. The cross-specific chainring is available in common CX 38 tooth and 42 tooth options, and features specifically designed chamfers that are optimized to efficiently shed mud, making those filthy mid-race dashed less of a threat to the functionality of your drivetrain. The narrow-wide tooth profile retains the chain snugly, allowing you to end things with your chainguide and bashring. This can potentially save you more than 100 grams on an existing 1x setup and more than 200 grams on a 2x setup.

  • 110BCD: 42T - 81g : 38T - 59g

  • Compatibility: All 5 arm cranks with 110 or 130 BCD
  • Material: cnc machined 7075 Txxx Aluminum. Long-lasting construction

  • Chainguide needed?: No, but chainlength is important as you don't run clutch type rear mech. Short cage really recommended.

Important information for SHIMANO derailleur users.

In order to get best results we recommend increasing cage return spring tension. New derailleurs are assembled with the spring in the mount that allows the most relaxed position of the spring. However there is another position on the cage which will increase that tension.

Sram users are not required to do that as OEM springs are already in high tension position.
